Delivery completion time

The DeliveryMatch software will fully automated check the stock availability during the checkout process of all products (and also when they are expected to be available on stock again!). Based on stock availability, shipping location and delivery location the software will real time calculate the possible delivery moments and/or pick up locations and pick up moments. After this the DeliveryMatch software ensures that the order will be delivered at the moment and/or location that was selected by your customer.

The delivery hit rate is the percentage of all delivery attempts where the carrier finds the customer at home and thus can deliver the shipment. Because of this you can negotiate better buy shipping rates with the carriers. This because the carriers save costs while trying to have the shipments delivered.

It also calculates the number of products of the order that can be packed in one shipping box and will adjust the shipping costs based on the nummer of packages to be shipped. This process is running on the ‘background’ and is not visible for your customer.

At the same time DeliveryMatch calculates the sell rates of the delivery options for the customer which are shown to the customer. After that the shipping costs that match with the selected option are added to the total amount of the purchase on the payment page.

You can influence your customer while selecting the delivery option by using shipping rate differentiation. For example by offering lower shipping rates for delivery on low volume moments and higher shipping rates on delivery peak moments. This way you can easily create a flat volume process for your warehouse- and delivery operations throughout the week and thus save costs in an easy way.

If you wish you can even add surcharges to your customer for choosing partial shipping of the order when not all products are available on stock at the moment of purchase. You can switch this option on- and off whenever you want.

Being able to calculate shipping costs realtime for each specific order while shipping cross border is a must. This because while shipping cross border the shipping costs can variate in wide ranges for each order and then the significant  risk occurs that a lot of margin is lost when you use fixed shipping rates.

Offering shipping cost discounts

In the system you can set up the shipping costs discounts yourself. You can set up as from which purchase amount and/or to which destination and/or for which products you want to offer a shipping cost discount and the what the level of discount should be. DeliveryMatch will real time and fully automated check all parameters during the purchase process and sees to it that on the exact correct moment the set up discount will be granted to your customer or not.

Payment of shipping costs

1. Pick Up at Offline stores, extra sales
When consumers pick up products that they bought online in your offline store they often will also do extra purchases in your offline store while picking up their online order.

How does this work?

  • DeliveryMatch takes care of ‘internal’ connection between your systems.
  • DeliveryMatch realtime shows your customer in the checkout which offline stores have the products available. These offline stores can be displayed with an allocator (small map with logos of the offline stores and details lie address and opening times).
  • Customer can make reservations for the products. If they want to pick up the order at a offline store ware the products are not available then DeliveryMatch sees to it that the products are shipped to the offline store where the customer wants to pick up the order.
  • DeliveryMatch assigns the order to the offline store that needs to process the order.
  • With use of DeliveryMatch the staff in the offline stores can autonomously execute the pick- and pack process.
  • The DeliveryMatch software will inform your customer when the order can be picked up in the offline store. Payment can be executed online or in the offline store when picking up the order. The delivery note can be send to the customer via e-mail.
  • In the mean while your customer service is informed about the process real time.

2. Multiple shipping locations, still one delivery moment and drop
The delivery of one order with multiple carriers in multiple drops is not needed anymore when using the DeliveryMatch software. During the checkout process the system will first checken ware the stock is located. After that the system will select carrier(s) that not only can deliver the products in het order but also the carrier(s) that can also pick up the product of the order at the warehouses were the stock is located and can deliver the order in one drop. As soon as the system within several seconds has selected when and which carrier(s) can execute this process your customers can select their reliable delivery option themselves in the checkout. Happy customers and saving logistic costs.

3. Less transport and faster order processing by shipment location determination
When your customers choose to pick up their orders at a offline store and the ordered products are available in het location it is not needed to ship the products from a warehouse to that offline store. The smart software of DeliveryMatch sees if the needed products are on stock at the offline store the the customer wants to pick up the order. In this case the software manages the order processing in the offline store. Transport costs are being saved, the order is ready for pick up faster and also consumers tend to do some more purchases in the offline store while picking up their online purchased orders.

4. Sharing stock with your competitors
If you use stock that is shared with your competitors (mostly located at multiple warehouses) DeliveryMatch wil assign the correct warehouse for each product in order to  be able to ship the products from the correct warehouse location.

  • For example in theory one order that container 6 products could be shipped from 6 different warehouses.
  • DeliveryMatch will support each separate warehouse het pick-, pack- and shipping process for each specific part of the order, including the booking of the shipment and printing the shipping label.

Example parameters, tresholds, values

You can set up as from which purchase amount you want to give your customers shipping costs discounts. This is possible in steps, for example:

  • Less the dan 50 euro, no discount on shipping costs.
  • Between 50 – 100 euro,  2,00 euro discount on shipping costs.
  • Between 100 – 150 euro,  3,00 euro discount on shipping costs.
  • Above de 150 euro, free shipping.

This is just an example, you can set up any range and value.

How does this work with DeliveryMatch?

  • Your customer can directly book the return in a return dashboard. Only the content of the order that needs to be (partially) returned is visible.
  • The customer selects de products that need to be returned in DeliveryMatch and selects the returns reason code. This can be more than one meson code in case the customers wants to return multiple products because of different reasons. You can set up and change the reason codes that you want to be available for your customer yourself.
  • In the next step your customer selects a return shipping method that you have set up in the system. If you want you can add the shipping costs to  each shipping method. If needed DeliveryMatch can real time calculate the shipping costs (buy and sell) aswell as other business rules that are set up.  If you want to offer picking up the returns at a home address the DeliveryMatch will calculate the options for which carrier can pick up the returns at what moment and what the shipping costs are. this works the same as the process in the webshop checkout while processing a purchase order.
  • In the last step the return shipment is created and booked with the carrier fully automated. Your customer will receive an e-mail with the shipping label. The status of the return shipment can be tracked in all your connected systems and online.
