This was the topic our customer Birgit Hendriks from Goederenhubs Nederland presented during the ICT&Logistics event. With passion and knowledge she explained how ‘GoederenHubs’ has accepted this challenge using the technology of their partners BigMile and DeliveryMatch. DeliveryMatch real-time collects all the needed data for each possible transport option. (Data as product and shipment weights/dimensions, transport mode, fuel type and the ship from-to location). DeliveryMatch interact real-time with BigMile, they calculate the CO2 emissions for all possible transport options in a certified way and informs DeliveryMatch. This complete process is executes within seconds!
It enables GoederenHubs to upfront manage their logistic chain based on CO2 emission, which also leads to costs reduction.
