The book is based on both scientific research as also on Roland his own experience and knowledge on this topic. The book first describes the level of complexity in Sales channels that are added with the ‘speed of light’ and that the logistic concepts that should come with them are staying behind. Then is described what Online Retailers in UK, DE, FR and NL are offering regarding logistic services and sustainability and this is compared with the wishes and demands Online Consumers have on these topics in the same countries. Quite some GAPs appear here and solutions for logistic concepts, operations and integration/functional software to resolve these GAPs are described.
